Sylvia Eichhorst Funeral

It has pleased our heavenly Father to call the soul of Sylvia Eichhorst to her eternal home. Sylvia died on Oct. 20, 2021. Her Christian funeral was at Zion on Thursday, Oct. 28. Please pray that God comfort all who mourn Sylvia’s death with the as-surance that those who die in the Lord are now with the Lord!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for worship last week. We had 293 worship in person and 20 online. That is 42.2% of our membership. Con-tinue to encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ to stay close to Jesus through faithful use of the Word and the sacraments!

When you commune, please take the time to check your name on the sheets in the back of church, by the elevator, or in the basement. Thanks!

Present or Former Service Members

We will put pictures of MZLC members with names, service branch (including reserves/guard), and dates of service on the screens at church for Veterans Day You can send a digital picture to jhdobberpuhl@gmail.com with the information or drop it off at school. We need this by Nov. 5 at 8:00 a.m. It will be on the screens at church on Thursday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 14. Thank you for your help!

Bible Studies

Romans Study

This Sunday we will look at Romans 5. We meet at 9:15 a.m. in the basement.

Sunday School

Sunday School for children age 3 to Grade 6 meets at 9:15 a.m. at school. Join us this week for Lesson 8:Fish Follow - Jesus Calls Disciples

Sunday Parenting Study

A second Sunday Bible Study meets at 9:15 a.m. in the commons at school. Join us when you take your children to Sunday School! This week we start a new series “Our Christian Response to Blessings and Challenges. This week we will look at "When we experience unmet needs and expectations."

Youth Group

Youth Group Study will meet this Sunday at 7:00 p.m.. We are looking at the hope that we have as Christians found in 1 Peter.

Sunday Night Book Discussion

This Sunday we will discuss chapter 9, Christians and Government of Your Questions, Scripture’s Answers. We meet at Nickel Funeral home at 7:00 p.m.

New Life in Christ

New Life in Christ will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. (lesson 2, Creation). We meet in the Bible Study room in the church basement. If you or someone you know, would like to review the basic teachings of the Bible or explore membership at Zion, this is the class for you!

Men's Study

Men's Study will not meet this Monday, November 1. We will meet again on November 8.

Women's Study

Women’s Bible Study meets Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

Choir

Choir meets on Wednesdays. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. in the church balcony. Open to all again! Please join us!

MZLS Athletics

MZLS Athletics is having a fundraiser in partnership with Braun Acres to support the ongoing costs of the athletic programs. We are selling Christmas wreaths and planters. Click here to order. Curbside pick-up will be in the school parking lot on Sunday, November 28. Thanks in advance for your support!

Planting Gospel Seeds

Place a seed on the picture in the back of church when you talk about Jesus outside of worship. The seeds are on each side of the double doors. Whenever you are at church put up a seed for each time you shared Jesus!

Streaming Worship is live on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and then available after that on YouTube and Facebook at your convenience. Please register online or text 920-362-7118 so we know who is worshipping with us!

Soup For Souls

Soup For Souls Meals continue to be available at school and at church for all to share the message of Jesus love with others. Don't forget to include a card with the meal when you deliver it to a friend/ neighbor.

Volunteer Sign Up

We have a new volunteer area on our website at https://mzluth.org/volunteer/ where you can look for ways to serve others. You will find different opportunities at different times where you can use your gifts and talents to glorify God.

We want to keep the entire congregation informed about events. One way we do this is with weekly announcements. Please send your announcements to ottrr@mzluth.org by Tuesday evening. This allows the announcements to be done and sent to the people who put them on the slides for worship. Thanks!
