Baptism

Woods Steven Michael Kohlbeck was baptized into Christ on Saturday, Oct. 30. Woods, the son of Michael and Steffany Kohlbeck, was born on Oct. 29, 2021. Woods is in the NICU in Green Bay. Please pray that God bless Woods and his family!

Thank You

Mrs. Muchka and Pastor Enderle thank all who planned the events for 10 years of ministry. They also thank everyone for their kind words of encouragement and for the gifts and cards. We are privileged to serve the Lord here at Morrison.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for worship last week. We had 216 worship in person and 34 online. That is 33.7% of our membership. Please encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ to stay close to Jesus through use of the Word and the sacraments!

Call News

Dear Members,

I received a divine call from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Livonia, Michigan, to teach Kindergarten. I am humbled with the privilege of the two calls I now hold and ask you to keep me in your prayers. As I prayerfully deliberate the two calls, I encourage you to share your questions and comments with me, as I consider how my gifts may best serve the kingdom of God.

When you commune, please take the time to check your name on the sheets in the back of church, by the elevator, or in the basement. Thanks!

“I am thankful for..”

There are sheets on the table in the basement you can fill out to hang in church for Thanksgiving. The sheets say “I am thankful for…” You can draw a picture or write a list of thanks for which you thank God. Please have them in the basket in the basement by Nov. 21. Thanks!

Events

Youth Group Packers and Pizza

Youth Group Pizza Party for the Packers and Chiefs game is this Sunday. The game begins at 3:30 p.m. Snacks, games and open gym begins then. Pizza will be served at 5:00 p.m. Bible study will be after the game is over.

Barnabas Ministry

Barnabas Ministry meets 6:00 Tuesday at school.

Present or Former Service Members

We will put pictures of MZLC members with names, service branch (including reserves/guard), and dates of service on the screens at church for Veterans Day You can send a digital picture to jhdobberpuhl@gmail.com with the information or drop it off at school. It will be on the screens at church on Thursday, Nov. 11 and Sunday, Nov. 14. Thank you for your help!

Bible Studies

Romans Study

This Sunday we will look at Romans 6 - 7:6. We meet at 9:15 a.m. in the basement.

Sunday School

Sunday School for children age 3 to Grade 6 meets at 9:15 a.m. at school. Join us this week for Lesson 9:The Wine Sign - A Wedding at Cana

Sunday Parenting Study

A second Sunday Bible Study meets at 9:15 a.m. in the commons at school. Join us when you take your children to Sunday School! This week we start a new series “Our Christian Response to Blessings and Challenges. This week we will look at "When we are hurt by others and hold on to unresolved anger."

Youth Group

Youth Group Bible Study normally meets Sunday at 7:00 p.m.. This week will meet when the Packers game finishes. We are looking at the hope that we have as Christians found in 1 Peter.

Sunday Night Book Discussion

This Sunday we will discuss chapter 9, Christians and Government of Your Questions, Scripture’s Answers. We meet at Nickel Funeral home at 7:00 p.m.

New Life in Christ

New Life in Christ will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. (lesson 3). We meet in the Bible Study room in the church basement. If you or someone you know, would like to review the basic teachings of the Bible or explore membership at Zion, this is the class for you!

Men's Study

Men's Study will meet Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the

church basement.

Women's Study

Women’s Bible Study meets Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

Choir

Choir meets on Wednesdays. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. in the church balcony. Open to all again! Please join us!

MZLS Athletics

MZLS Athletics is having a fundraiser in partnership with Braun Acres to support the ongoing costs of the athletic programs. We are selling Christmas wreaths and planters. Click here to order. Curbside pick-up will be in the school parking lot on Sunday, November 28. Thanks in advance for your support! The final day to order is November 14.

The Air Conditioning

The air conditioning units are also heat pumps. If you see them running outside or hear them in worship, they are heating the church so that we do not have to have the boilers run.

Planting Gospel Seeds

Place a seed on the picture in the back of church when you talk about Jesus outside of worship. The seeds are on each side of the double doors. Whenever you are at church put up a seed for each time you shared Jesus!

Streaming Worship

Streaming Worship is live on Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and then available after that on YouTube and Facebook at your convenience. Please register online or text 920-362-7118 so we know who is worshipping with us!

Soup For Souls

Soup For Souls Meals continue to be available at school and at church for all to share the message of Jesus love with others. Don't forget to include a card with the meal when you deliver it to a friend/ neighbor.

Volunteer Sign Up

We have a new volunteer area on our website at https://mzluth.org/volunteer/ where you can look for ways to serve others. You will find different opportunities at different times where you can use your gifts and talents to glorify God.

We want to keep the entire congregation informed about events. One way we do this is with weekly announcements. Please send your announcements to ottrr@mzluth.org by Tuesday evening. This allows the announcements to be done and sent to the people who put them on the slides for worship. Thanks!
