Mrs. Muchka Accepts Call to Bethan

On Wednesday, January 3, Mrs. Katie Muchka announced she accepted the call to serve as 7th grade homeroom teacher and athletic director at Bethany Lutheran in Manitowoc. Continued prayers for her and family, her new ministry and Zion’s ministry.

As announced yesterday at church, a date to issue a call for a teacher at Morrison would be approaching soon. That date is Sunday, January 21.

Mrs. Muchka’s letter is attached.

To the brothers and sisters of Morrison Zion Lutheran Church & School,

On Monday, December 4th, I received a divine call from Bethany Lutheran Church and School to serve as the seventh grade homeroom teacher and athletic director. I am incredibly thankful to those who shared their thoughts and prayers with me as my family and I deliberated between the two calls.

With this letter I share with you that I have accepted the call to serve our Savior at Bethany Lutheran School. While I am sad to be leaving a ministry I have been a part of for 19 years, I am excited to begin this new ministry and look forward to seeing how God can use the gifts and talents he has given me to serve the students, families, and congregation of Bethany.

Please join with me in continuing to keep the brothers and sisters of Morrison Zion Lutheran Church and School in your thoughts and prayers as you now wait patiently for the Lord to place a new teacher in this ministry.

In Christ,

Katie Muchka
