On Wednesday, January 3, Pastor Ben Shone declined the call to serve at Morrison Zion as an Associate Pastor. Continued prayers for him, his ministry and Zion’s ministry. Look for future announcements concerning call dates.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church,

I thank you for the many prayers for me and my family, the conversations, and thoughts through the deliberation process. Throughout our conversations, your love for our Savior and his Word flowed from your hearts. God has blessed you with a sincere desire both for his Word and for his work that is clearly seen and heard. The work God has set before you in Morrison is filled with opportunities to spread the gospel.

After many conversations and prayerful deliberation, the Lord has set before me work here at Abiding Word in which I must continue. And so, I am returning the call to serve at Zion. I pray that you continue to hold unswervingly to his Word and that God blesses your work in his kingdom.
